Shunya is always excited about supporting local South Asian arts groups! Life is all about celebrating the Little Victories. And what better way to do that than to hang out with friends and listen to an awesome band! Little Victories, a Houston based rock band, has its first full length show this Friday, [...] The University of Houston India Studies Program is having two great events coming up in September: On Thursday, September 20 2012 at 4 pm: a talk on “Caste, Sexuality, and the Limits of Liberalism” by Ania Loomba from UPenn. On Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:30pm: movie presentation of Milan Luthria’s “The Dirty Picture” [...] We are coming up on our next monthly play reading on Saturday, 5/21/11.
