Lisa Omlie is looking for an actor, age 20-35, to play a British Indian man for a rehearsed reading of her play Absolution at Country Playhouse on March 25. There will be a few rehearsals, no need to get off book. Not a paid role. You can contact Lisa at LisaOmlie at aol dot com. Shunya’s auditions for the play “Art” begin tonight! We are looking for three male actors age 30 – 45. Auditions are at Barnevelder Movement Arts (2201 Preston Street) tonight at 6 pm.
Shunya will be presenting two fantastic plays this season: In May 2012 Art, by Yasmina Reza This comedy is an exploration of the relationships of three adult male friends grappling with identity, and asks, “Are you who you think you are or are you who your friends think you are?” Entertaining and thought provoking, [...] We need percussionists (both Eastern and Western), keyboardists, flautists (both Eastern and Western), guitarists, and any other instrumentalists out there! The main melodies have already been composed, so we need people who are comfortable with improvisation, and who can come to a few jam sessions in order to organically arrange the musical pieces.
